The story

Nine nights, many forms

Each night of Navratri is associated with a form of the Devi, and customs vary widely: fasting, garba and dandiya in Gujarat, Durga Puja in Bengal, Golu displays in the South.

At home, ghatasthapana on the first day and daily aarti are among the most widely shared practices.
